We are pleased to announce that the Maryland Society of Accountants honored our president, Dave Crockett, with creating a scholarship award in his name.  Below are the kind words they had to say.

The Norris “Dave” Crockett Scholarship Award

This award has been created in honor of Norris “Dave” Crockett, past president of the Maryland Society of Accountants, in an effort to thank him for his many years of service to the society and, specifically, to the Maryland Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation.  Here are just a few of the reasons why –

Dave treats everyone – his family, clients, associates, colleagues – with respect.  He serves as a shining example of professionalism to all who come into contact with him.

Dave works hard to keep his practice on the cutting edge by taking continuing professional education, to be sure that his clients are getting the most current information available.

Dave’s integrity and forthrightness can be seen in his interactions with his clients and associates.  All who work with him are impressed with his honesty.

DEDICATION TO THE PROFESSION

Dave’s dedication to the future of the accounting profession is evidenced by the many years he worked as a tireless advocate of the MSA Scholarship Foundation, as a member of the MSA board of directors and then as chair of the Scholarship Fundraising Committee.  His desire to support students in need with the resources to pursue a career in accounting ensures that the Foundation will be able to continue to assist accounting students with their education.

Norris “Dave” Crockett is truly committed to serving the accounting profession and the Maryland Society of Accountants.  It is indeed our privilege to create this scholarship in his honor.
